About Mike Severson

Mike Severson has been in the music industry for over 25 years, starting his career in Tulsa radio before moving to Nashville in 1993 and landing a promotion position with MCA Records. After a decade with MCA, Mike went on to other promotion and marketing ventures with Rounder Records, All Access Music Group, Midas Records, World Vision Artists, and Yamaha Entertainment. He has accumulated additional experience in management, artist development, branding, and social media.

In 2016, Severson launched Songwriter City, which expertly crafts, customizes, and books premier songwriter-round type experiences for corporate and special events from music’s biggest hitmakers and storytellers. It has allowed Mike to get back to the original reason he moved to Music City – to help, and be an advocate for, talented artists.
